Colorado Public Radio did an interview with James Eklund, director of the Colorado Water Conservation Board, and his role in creating the state’s water plan.
He told CPR: “”We have water where we don’t have people, and we have to make sure we address that problem as best we can.
“If you think of Colorado as a rectangle…and you draw a line right down the middle of that rectangle…80 percent of the water falls on the left side of that line and 80-87 percent of the people are on the right side of that line.”
